We’d like to give a big shout out to Bancpost for their hard work and dedication in saying NO to human trafficking in Romania. The team at Bancpost was given the Special Award for CSR earlier this year.
Bancpost received the Special Award for Corporate Social Responsibility within the Oskar Capital Gala 2014, organized by the Capital Magazine on Wednesday, May 07th, as recognition for its engagement in the community life through the public awareness campaign on the human trafficking phenomenon.
The distinction was offered to Mr. Anthony C. Hassiotis, Bancpost Executive President and CEO, who declared on this occasion: “On behalf of all of us at Bancpost, I would like to thank Capital and all of you for the honor you have bestowed upon us. We are very grateful to all our clients and our community for trusting us and doing business with us and through our Corporate Social Responsibility programs we would like to thank them all. This is the least we can do to show our appreciation and gratitude for their trust and confidence.”
Bancpost runs, starting 2013, a public awareness campaign on human trafficking phenomenon, targeting mainly the young generation through sports, music, dancing, arts, educational and social media activities. The project is being developed in cooperation with the National Agency against Human Trafficking (ANITP), ADPARE and eLiberare.
The Capital Magazine awards already have a 19 year tradition, the first Oskar Capital statues being offered in 1995.
The team at eLiberare feels completely honored to get to be a part of this innovative campaign to prevent human trafficking in Romania. The NO Project Romania is off to a great start and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead!
